Ingredients to prepare prawn fry


Prep time: 20 mins | Cooking time: 30 mins | Serve: 2 to 3 members

  • Prawn – 1/2 kilogram
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Small onion – 7
  • Garlic and ginger paste – 2 spoons
  • Red chilli powder – 1 table spoon
  • Coriander powder -1/2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder -1/2 spoon
  • Salt
  • Oil – 2 spoon
  • Mustard seeds and black gram – 1 spoon
  • Curry leaves – 2
  • Pattai – 2
  • Cloves -4

Steps to prepare the prawn fry

Step 1: First of all wash the prawn gently and make it into seperate. Chop the onion and green chilli into small pieces. If you want more quantity don’t slice in the mixie.

Step 2: Then, place the frying pan on the stove and pour the oil. After the oil gets heat, add the mustard seeds, black gram seeds, Pattai, Cloves and fry it gently. Finally, add ginger and garlic paste.

Step 3: After a while ago, add the sliced onion and chilli paste int the pan and also add turmeric powder, coriander powder, Red chilli powder.

Step 4: Finally, add the well-cleaned prawn into the pan. if the prawn gets dry, please add some little water and salt in medium heat.

Now the tasty prawn fry is ready to serve.

Optional tips to get more quantity of prawn fry:

if you want the gravy type or increase your food quanity. Then don’t slice the onion and green chili in the mixie. You must add the onion and green chilli at the 2nd step.
